The Tiny Bread Earner's in Local
Trains
One in
every eleven children in our country is involved in some sort of work,
resulting in the increase in child labor. for a little as ten rupees a day.
children are not going to schools and slaving for hours.
The
child named Vinayak sells hair clips and mobile cases in local trains from
Andheri to Borivali every day. it cost around Rs.5 to Rs 10. What is the matter
of concern is that the child whose age is not less than 10yrs old , does that
child even understand the value of the money that he is earning.
Interacting with Vinayak
revealed that his parents are also on to
the same business and they themselves are encouraging him to do so. When these
tiny tots should be going to school and playing , their soft hand are
overused and exploited by their
employers/parents. though our constitution grants freedom and right to play
and education to every child, we find so many children enslaved in houses, tea shops, and factories doing menial jobs . The laws governing child abuse
generally do not help them as there is no body to fight for their causes. The
factory owners find cheap labor in these children.
These children are the
sole bread winner for their families and helpless to raise their voice against
the injustice done to them. The only help lies in the voluntary organizations
and government.
